DIFFERENT SOCKS FOR DIFFERENT ACTIVITIES

WHICH SOCKS SHOULD I CHOOSE?

In all our socks we have chosen to work with the functional material 37.5® Technology . An extremely quick-drying material that is smart enough to both absorb moisture and release it using the body's own heat - a whole new level of functionality. We then mix the 37.5® Technology material with other materials, such as wool and polyamide to create the best sock and the best sock experience.

It is simply no coincidence that Gococo has won many “ Best in Test ” awards in recent years!

How to choose the right sock for the right occasion

Knowing how to choose the right sock can feel like a jungle, but it doesn't have to be. Many people wonder: which sports sock should I choose for running? Or which functional sock should I choose for hiking in colder weather?

The most important thing is to start from your activity and your needs. Do you need extra cushioning? Do you want coolness during summer training? Or warmth during autumn hiking?

Whether you need extra cushioning, airiness or extra support, we have a sock to meet your needs. Our models are designed to stay in place, keep feet dry and free from chafing, and adapt to both activity and temperature.

Running socks

When choosing socks for running, it is important to consider both the weather conditions and the type of running you will be doing. For warm days and intense running, we recommend our thin models such as Light Sport or Light Sport High , where the higher shaft provides extra protection for the ankle. These socks have a lot of the functional material 37.5® Technology that transports moisture away and keeps your feet cool and dry.

For running in cooler conditions or if you prefer more cushioning, the Technical Cushion is a great fit with its toe and heel padding for extra comfort. When the temperature drops even further, the Technical Cushion High Wool , with its added merino wool, is ideal for keeping your feet warm on chilly autumn and winter days.

If you are looking for extra support and recovery, we recommend Compression Superior which provides compression for better blood circulation and reduced muscle fatigue. For colder weather there is also Compression Wool , which combines compression with the warming properties of wool. For those who prefer to choose their own socks, but still want compression, the Compression Calf Sleeve offers a perfect solution with maximum freedom.

Regardless of your running style and weather, we have the running socks that will help you perform at your best and feel comfortable throughout your run!

Trail running socks

What is the difference between running and trail running? Well, when you run trails you encounter uneven, often wet and hilly paths. In these tough conditions, the socks have to fit perfectly around your feet without bunching up, while also preventing your feet from slipping in the sock – both uphill and downhill. This was a challenge we took on with our innovative Trail Running sock!

Our Trail Running socks are made largely from high-performance, quick-drying 37.5® Technology. They also feature compression around the arch and ankle for extra support on uneven surfaces. They also have a slightly higher shaft and are designed with a tight stretch to keep out pebbles and dirt.

With our Trail Running socks, you get a sock that stays where it should, provides stability and makes every step safe on the trails.

Padel & tennis socks

Padel and tennis are intense sports that require speed and explosiveness. With the fast movements come sudden turns and powerful impacts, which can lead to a burning sensation under the feet if the socks do not fit properly and absorb the impacts properly.

For both tennis and padel, we recommend our Technical Cushion socks. These socks have a perfect fit and are equipped with padded toes and heels to provide excellent shock absorption and protection. They keep your feet comfortable, no matter how intense the game gets.

Socks for travel

When you sit still for a long time, blood circulation in your legs can decrease, often leading to swollen feet, ankles, and calves. That's why it's important to wear compression stockings to help keep your blood flowing.

Our Compression model is the perfect travel sock. It has a compression of 18–21 mmHg and is knitted with functional material in the sole that effectively manages both moisture and odor. Perfect for long hours in the car, train or plane!

Ski socks

When you ski, cold feet are a common problem. You whizz down the slope, getting hot and out of breath, but when you get on the lift you end up sitting still in the cold. Not an optimal combination for staying warm. That's why it's extra important to have good ski socks that support temperature regulation and keep your feet dry, even when they're not moving much.

Our ski socks are made from merino wool for warmth combined with quick-drying functional materials that reduce the risk of cold sweaty feet by effectively managing moisture in the ski boot. This helps keep your feet at an even temperature all day long.

We offer two models for skiing: Skiing and Compression Skiing . Skiing is perfect for those who want socks with function in the foot and extra protection on the front of the shins where the ski boots rest. Compression Skiing has the same foot design, but with compression in the shaft to improve blood circulation in the legs.

Hiking socks

The choice of hiking socks depends a lot on the type of shoes or boots you are using. A sturdy boot often requires thicker socks and sometimes even double socks, which can reduce the risk of chafing by having the socks move against each other instead of against the foot.

For a thicker hiking sock, we recommend our Trekking socks. These socks are made of warming wool and have a generous layer of the quick-drying functional material 37.5® Technology under the soles of the feet to minimize the risk of shoe chafing and blisters.

If you're using lighter hiking boots, the Technical Cushion High Wool are a great choice. These socks are slightly thinner but still offer warmth and moisture management thanks to wool and 37.5® Technology, providing good support without feeling too bulky.

Swimrun socks

In swimrun, you alternate between running on rocks and paths and swimming in open water. This means you both swim and run with socks and shoes, which means you have to deal with having wet clothes and shoes throughout the race. No matter how much functional material we have in our socks, we cannot guarantee that they will dry between swims. However, it is important to choose socks that do not absorb a lot of water, sit firmly on the foot and do not expand too much when they get wet.

Many swimrunners also prefer compression socks, as they provide support on longer runs and protect the legs during "transitions" - when you're going up and down in the water and running on uneven ground in the forest. Our Compression Superior socks are a great choice if you want a higher shaft that protects and has compression for extra support and stability. Another option is the Trail Running sock, which provides support in the foot with compression over the ankle and arch. For those who prefer socks without compression, the Light Sport or Light Sport High are a good option.

Socks for floorball

Just like tennis and padel, floorball is a sport that requires speed and quick turns. But with the increased risk of injury from impacts and contact injuries, it is important to choose socks that provide both comfort and support. Our compression socks, Compression and Compression Superior , are perfect for this. They contribute to better blood circulation and stability in the legs, which reduces the risk of muscle fatigue and injuries.

Compression helps support muscles and keep them warm, which can help prevent strains and other overuse injuries that often occur with sudden movements. Compression provides comfortable support with a softer feel, while Compression Superior offers stronger compression and extra stability.

Recovery socks

Are you training hard and often for a race or have you just challenged your body and legs more than usual? Then it can be really nice to put on a pair of compression socks to help your body recover faster. We recommend our Compression model, which has a compression pressure of 18–21 mmHg and is within the compression class – perfect for giving your body that extra boost.

Compression socks help increase blood circulation in your legs, effectively transporting waste products away and replenishing oxygen-rich blood to your muscles. This speeds up recovery and allows you to be ready for your next workout faster – especially important if you’re training for a big goal.

If you don't want to wear compression socks during your workout, you can still benefit from them by putting them on afterwards. You'll still get the benefits of compression and help your body recover effectively.

SOCKS WITH THAT LITTLE EXTRA

Compression socks & wool socks

Sometimes a regular sports sock isn't enough. Then a compression sock can give you extra support during long workouts, travel or recovery – while a wool sock keeps your feet warm, dry and free of chafing on cold days.

In our range you will find both compression socks and wool socks that give you that little extra when you need more than a classic functional sock.

WHY CHOOSE GOCOCO?

The feet are one of the parts of the body that sweat the most. Sweat creates friction, which in turn creates heat, chafing and, in the worst case, even blisters. So to have the most comfortable experience possible when you are active and to be able to fully enjoy the moment, you should invest in socks with good function. By function, we mean socks that can handle foot sweat by both absorbing sweat and releasing it.

Many sports sock manufacturers talk about "sweat management", "moisture management" and quick-drying properties, and we understand that it can be difficult to know what really works. At Gococo, we take it a step further - we're not just good at function, we deliver socks with truly impressive performance
